VERY GOOD. This antique Scarab Beetle brooch is in very good condition. Each Scarab Beetle is secure within their settings and have remained in excellent condition, especially when considering their grand age. There is one very small chip on the setting to one of the beetles but this really isn't noticeable unless looking under a jeweller's loupe. The settings do have some darkening to some areas and some wear, but overall she has a glossy Gold tone throughout. As these are exoskeletons, this brooch must be handled with care and is not a piece for everyday wear. A testament to Victorian craftsmanship, she will be a wonderful addition to your repertoire!
